Feature Presentation
MANTRAP (Famous Players-Lasky Corporation - 1926)
Clara Bow, Ernest Torrence, Percy Marmont, Miss DuPont, Eugene Pallette, Tom Kennedy, Josephine Crowell, William Orlamond, Charles Stevens. Directed by Victor Fleming. ~ ~ ~ After Joe Easter (Ernest Torrence) marries pretty Alverna (Clara Bow), he discovers that she can't help but flirt whenever she sees a man. One of Bow's best films.
Short Subjects
FATTY & MINNIE-HE-HAW (Keystone - 1914)
Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, Minnie Devereaux, Minta Durfee, Al St. John, Eddie Dillon. Directed by Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle. ~ ~ ~ Fatty goes way out west and runs into Minnie, who just happens to be looking for a husband. Fatty, however, doesn't seem to be ready to settle down -- especially after he gets a look at Minta.
CAT & THE MONKEY (Aesop's Fables Studio - 1921)
Fables. We are guessing Fables is the cat rather than the monkey. Fables seems to have had a few similarities with Felix the Cat but evidently was far less intelligent.
SELIG TRIBUNE (Selig - 1916)
Newsreels in the silent era were nicely photographed, well edited and highly entertaining as they provided a picturesque documentation of the era. If you have never seen one of these (or even if you have) you are in for a treat. Historic footage.
Serial Episode
MYSTERY OF THE DOUBLE CROSS - Chapter 6 : The Dead Come Back (Pathe - 1917)
Mollie King, Leon Bary, Ralph Stuart. Directed by Louis J. Gasnier, William Parke. ~ ~ ~ Philippa suspects Bridgey Bentley is up to no good and asks Peter to help her break into his room. But whose side is she really on?
The Screening Room
LOST IN THE NIGHT (Crystal Film Company - 1913) Pearl White, Chester Barnett.
Pearl portrays a young wife with a subconscious affinity to fine jewelry.
